Case study · Emirates Airlines Startup Accelerator
Startup Accelerator

Intelak.

Intelak is an aviation-focused startup accelerator in the UAE, and it needed to fill a programme intake with deep-tech founders in niche aviation verticals — on a four-week deadline.

We built the candidate pipeline from structured data rather than by asking around: Crunchbase for the universe, Clay for the qualification, and a model pass to judge fit against the programme itself.

Before
  • A programme intake to fill against a four-week deadline
  • Target verticals too niche for a standard list
  • Founders spread across several markets
  • No qualification method beyond reading company websites
After
  • A qualified candidate pipeline built inside the deadline
  • Startup data sourced from Crunchbase and enriched in Clay
  • Websites, founder profiles and public news read into the qualification
  • Programme-fit scored before any founder was contacted
Challenge

The challenge

Intelak needed to scout startups operating within niche verticals in the aviation sector. Their focus required highly targeted outbound outreach to deep tech founders at the seed stage from different markets.

Approach

Source it, qualify it, then write.

  1. 01

    How we ran it

We sourced a large volume of startup data from Crunchbase and further qualified each company using Clay. This involved analyzing company websites, founders' LinkedIn profiles, and relevant public news sources. We also used GPT to assess each startup's alignment with the Intelak program. This approach enabled us to build a highly qualified list of prospects for targeted outreach

Results

A candidate pipeline inside four weeks.

The engagement had a hard deadline, so the work went into qualification before outreach: company websites, founder LinkedIn profiles and public news, read at volume and scored for alignment with the programme.

That is what made a short campaign viable. Every founder contacted had already been checked against the intake criteria.
